Surrounded by restaurants and cafes in Napier city centre, Motel de la Mer offers ocean-facing suites with a fully equipped kitchen. Some rooms have a balcony with ocean and city views. We splurged and had a penthouse suite. Fantastic! Well worth it. Breakfast was terrific. Beautiful space.

First off, Brin and Biddy were outstanding hosts. And the place was spacious and clean. The ocean front location made for a great view while relaxing in their spa. They loaned me a bike for a pleasant bike ride into Napier. Brin made reservations for us at a winery restaurant that was within easy walking distance. The food and wine were excellent. Definitely this stay was a highlight of our New Zealand trip.

An incredibly charming suite but then what would you expect when the Queen stayed there. All the amenities were there, beautifully done and in the centre of town.5

Overlooking the waterfront, The Crown Hotel offers stylish boutique accommodation in Ahuriri, just 5 minutes’ drive from Napier city centre. Really enjoyed our stay at The Crown Hotel. The room size was great and the location was excellent as it was close to many of the restaurants along the wharf. The fact that it was a 7-8 min drive from central Napier really did not matter at all.

We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again. Very clean. The double glazed doors kept the traffic noise out. With the bedroom at the back it was very quiet.
