The staff was lovely, we felt very welcomed, they also helped us with taxis to go around the island and advised us for restaurants. The room was clean and the ocean view stunning, the breakfast was continental, various things to eat and the food was good quality. We will definitely come back for our next visit. Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort is located in Ribeira Grande, north coast of São Miguel Island. Excellent ecological profile. Really impressed by How every detail was ecological. From interiour decor to the food.

Right next to Sete Cidades Lagoon, in the São Miguel Island of Azores, the Sete Cidades Lake Lodge features wooden bungalows with a unique architecture. Free WiFi access is available. My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Lake Lodge. The perfect accommodations and a stones throw from the lake, it was our favorite place we stayed in the island. Nestled into a lush garden landscape, we were completely enchanted walking through the property. The bungalows were so inviting, cozy and warmly decorated. The baskets of food and wine were a wonderful touch. We can’t wait to come back again!

Located in the city of Ponta Delgada, on the south coast of São Miguel Island, CASA DA ILHA - Slow Living Residence & Suites offers a prime location by the sea. Forno da Cal Beach is a 5-minute walk. The hotel is very cozy, comfortable bed, clean and modern rooms and bathrooms. Staff were very nice and helpful.

The 4-star Octant Furnas is located in São Miguel Island, in Vale das Furnas, site of the largest concentration of thermal waters in Europe. Loved everything: pool area, spa, restaurant, rooms. Furnas is a great place to visit and this hotel is great!

Located in a small bay of the Azorean island of Pico, the design Pocinhobay offers individually decorated rooms facing Faial Island. It is located a 10-minute drive from Madalena village. It was a wonderful stay, I would like to come back and meet again the owners :-)

MS Vila Nova is centrally located in Ponta Delgada, 1 km from the Convento da Esperança. The hotel features an outdoor pool. My Story Hotel Vila Nova’s guest rooms are decorated in blue and grey... The location was perfect, in walking distance from the airport, which can be felt througout the stay as you could frequently see airplanes landing or taking off but due to the soundproof windows this is not as bothersome (it was kind of cool actually). The swimming pool was nice! (we also had one plane fly directly above us as we swam) - there are like 10 flights a day and only during the day, being a city airport, there are no flights during the night - so you don't have to fear that a plane will wake you up mid-night. The swimming pool was rarely occupied (we were staying mid-may) the initial dip was a bit cold but it got better fast enough. The staff was super nice, especially the bartender we met on our arrival. The room was nice and clean, with water and capsule coffee being refreshed daily (a regular and a decaf per person per day), the breakfast buffet had a wide enough selection so we could mix up our breakfast across our stay (and always it was nice). All in all a perfect stay, I can definitely recommend this hotel. 😊 PS: the maracuja Kima is a must try! (available at the bar)

Amazing hotel! Stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. Super nice staff, plenty of free parking on the street and we loved our daily walks into the city. Great Gin & Tonics at the bar! Breakfast was delicious with some local options.

Pico do Refúgio - Casas de Campo combines a natural setting with history, art, and sea views. This is a nice option to move around Sao Miguel. The location is great in a quiet and peaceful area. The place was beautiful and nice refurbished. The included breakfast was nice. In this place you have all you need to organize your stay on your own (kitchen, free parking, well location, supermarket nearby, huge garden and pool, barbecue, laundry, etc) very convenient. Ana, María Joao and all the staff were very nice, accesible, and helpful. Thank you all for making our stay amazing.
