The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes.

It features an outdoor pool with solarium and sun loungers. Breakfasts were great also the view and the peaceful area. The staff were very friendly and Teresa (the owner) is a very professional and kind person. Totally recommended!

Set on Madeira’s South Coast, Ponta do Sol has a stunning infinity pool and hot tub with panoramic views. Amazing views, great location, friendly, helpful staff. We had to check out early on our last day and staff had a to go breakfast ready for us. Close to the village, which was beautiful and a great place for dinner and sunset. Highly recommend staying here.

The spacious rooms are individually designed following the 4-seasons-of-the-year theme. Each features an LCD TV with in-room movies, free WiFi and a laptop-size safe. Central location, overall vibe and beds were very comfy. We had a courtyard/shopping mall interior room which was very quiet. Pool was cool.

Pool opening times could be longer to accommodate people returning from trips.

Apartments feature a living area with a kitchenette. We loved the location of the hotel, very close to Funchal, bus station is just across the street, although we mainly walked and also rented a car to get to the other side of the island that’s not very frequently connected by bus. It was the perfect choice that we reserved a room in Golden residence hotel!!!! Everything was amazing, staff is always cleaning and taking care of the hotel, everybody is very welcoming and warm:) I would also like to say that if you are a breakfast lover, just book this hotel, because OH MY LORD!!! THE BREAKFAST IS PHENOMENAL!!!!:))) You have everything to choose from (even chia pudding for all of us healthy food freaks out there:)), all kinds of fruit, veggies, breads, yoghurt, milk, cereals, pancakes, eggs in like 4 ways, baked beans, baked tomatoes, different homemade cakes and jams, nuts, seeds,….you name it- they have it all!!! 😝So to sum up, we were indeed very very happy with our stay (WE WILL BE COMING BACK FOR SURE!) and very sad that after 15 days of staying there, we had to go back home:) So don’t think twice, just book this amazing hotel and you will guaranteed have the most amazing time in Madeira☺️

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. Free WiFi and free covered private parking are available. We loved staying at this place. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The view from the room and terrace was really beautiful. And the garden around the hotel is very nice and well looked after. The hotel is not far away from the centre, but the neighbourhood is peaceful. We had everything we needed in the room. I highly recommend this place, and I would definitely stay here again.

Set within tropical gardens on Madeira Island, this charming guesthouse features far-reaching sea views and 2 outdoor seawater pools and access to the sea.

The rooms’ balconies offer views of the scenic gardens or the Atlantic Ocean. All rooms are equipped with telephone, mini-bar, safe, cable TV and a hair dryer. Breakfast was delicious, some components are different every day, there are tables on open air and inside, great view to the garden. Our building in the center of garden was very interesting, in old style, with many specific details on the walls, near the stairs... Beds are perfect, from open window you see the sea and listen the birds... There is see water in swimming pool, very comfortable and clean.. We asked for rent a car and the men from reception solved the problem during 5 min. Great!
