Situated among 18th and 19th century villas in a park setting, this charming hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from Kalmar Castle. Free WiFi is available. The hotel has an excellent location in the heart of old town close to the Kalmar castle, the city park. The room was not very spacious but cosy. Bathroom OK with strong stream of the water in the shower. The staff was friendly. I will recommend you to book the parking place if you come with the rented car. The breakfast was good.

Housed in an old harbour warehouse, the Home Hotel Packhuset boasts spectacular views of the Kalmar Sound and the Öland Bridge. Some rooms feature exposed wooden beams, timber walls and free WiFi. Our stay included a buffet dinner, which was surprisingly good. Breakfast was good too. Convenient location to see the castle, cathedral, and old town. Room was nice. Elevator was helpful.

Hotell Hamnen ligt in Färjestaden en biedt vanuit alle kamers een schilderachtig uitzicht over de Straat van Kalmarsund. De kamers zijn voorzien van een flatscreen-tv, een balkon en uitzicht op zee. Location was fantastic! Happy that was possible to stay with dog.
