This is a lovely hotel where the hosts helped us feel relaxed and at home from the start. The property is in a perfect spot to enjoy the terrain - not far from Guilin, but tucked away from the city in a quiet holiday village that has a few fantastic restaurants and beautiful walks and cycle paths all around. I stayed a whole week and would have happily stayed a month! Armed with WeChat and translation apps, we could communicate well with our very helpful host. He fed us good breakfasts, arranged a long-distance taxi when we got stuck one night in Yangshuo, and even sent me to his very good dentist when I had a toothache. I will send friends there and come back!

This stay completely exceeded my expectations! Although there is no elevator in the hotel, each floor isn’t very high—carrying my luggage up a few steps felt more like a light little workout, and it wasn’t a hassle at all. The owner was extremely thoughtful; when he saw I had a large suitcase, he proactively came to help, which instantly dispelled all my worries.
The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was as soft as the quilt at home, so I slept exceptionally well at night. Moreover, this old building without an elevator actually has a more cozy, homey vibe. The sound insulation is surprisingly good, and I couldn’t hear any noise from the corridor at all. The breakfast included freshly cooked porridge and side dishes, which were steaming hot and really warmed my stomach.

The hotel managers recently opened this very nice hotel, and in spite of our late arrival, everybody was extremely helpful, and ready to serve us whatever food they had. Michelle and the rest of the staff made the best of our short visit to Guilin. They helped us organize all of our trips in the region, during a very complicated time (around the Chinese New Year). The hotel is about 15 to 20 minutes away from Guiling Bei (north) Railway station, but it's easy to take a cheap taxi to get there.
The room was very comfortable and has a lovely view of the karst mountains of Guilin. From Guilin you can visit Yangshuo and Xingping either by bus or train (the train is much faster and very cheap).
I really recommend this hotel to travelers who want to spend some quiet quality time in a delightful little town, surrounded by very nice people.

Everything was great! To be honest, it felt more like a homestay (in a good way) because the staff was so welcoming and helpful! Some of them only speak Chinese but Melody speaks English fluently, so I never had any issues because of the language barrier. She organized all my transfers and even told the driver to help me find my boat.
I had the room on the top floor and I would definitely recommend staying there. It's a bit higher than the other buildings, so I felt comfortable leaving my panoramic windows open to enjoy the view. Btw, the room looked the same as in the pictures, so I didn't have to adjust my expectations to reality. There was a lot of natural light and I really liked the design - some traditional Chinese elements with a modern twist. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was soft (if you live in China you know why I needed to mention that).
I could only have their proper breakfast once because I would leave too early, but that one time their noodles were top-notch. And on the days when I couldn't have breakfast they would always prepare something I could take with me and it was delicious, too. I especially appreciated that there were always some fruits.
Lastly, I'd like to mention the massage you can get there. From what I understood it's the same price everywhere because I saw the exact same paper with all the types of massage at a different hotel. I got the oil massage and I cannot recommend it enough. Overall, the people the hotel works with are great, too.

Great location, 10mims walk away from the Sun and Moon pagodas. The receptionists were very friendly and welcoming, provided free welcome fruits and evening sweet treats. Room is clean and modern , very comfortable bed. Highly recommended.
