The Japanese restaurant is great. Also the pastries in the lobby were very good. The room was large and comfortable.

Such a beautiful place and an unforgettable experience. I wish I had booked it for more than one night. The tea ceremony was very special. We loved the onsen and the breakfast. Last but not least: excellent hosts. They helped us a lot sending our luggage to our next destination. 1000/10. The location was very nice as it wasn’t as crowded as other places in Kyoto. Very close to the golden temple.

This is a great place to stay for when you want to have your own private quiet space (and a bit more space than a typical hotel room), but still want to be cared for by hotel-like staff. We landed on this place because I wanted to stay in a typical Ryokan, but my husband wanted his own bathroom. It was the best stay of our Japan trip out of 3 hotels that were all far above average. It feels very secluded and private, there are around 10 apartments in total and everyone has their own entrance. There's a coin washing machine as well. There is a small breakfast buffet with really great coffee and they provide some free snacks during the day as well I believe. All in all it feels really kind and caring.

Toni the host was the the most friendly and cool dude I've met on my hostel adventures, he was great just to chat to but super helpful with advice and help with info about kyoto! The area is quiet which is nice and also close to everything you need.

agoThis is by far the best hotel i have ever stayed at. Beautiful hidden gem The room was spacious and having your own private onsen was amazing. The staff were very kind and helpful. Pros: - hotel looks so pretty and has that traditional Japanese style -Spacious room, clean and looks so neat. -arrival little sweets - you have all the stuff you need in this hotel including makeup removes, facial toners and serum. -private onsen. -beds are super comfortable -staff are helpful and friendly -able to send your luggage to your next destination - 15 mins walk from the station - there are cafes and familymart nearby. Thank you for having us. We had the best time staying at your hotel.

Can't decide which part of the stay was best, the whole experience was just absolutely amazing. The staff is the most kind, loving and helpful we've ever had the pleasure of being in contact with. The rooms are absolutely beautiful (we stayed in a Twin room and the Riverte suite) and the amenities accommodate nearly every need you have for a stay away from home. The skincare they provide from Mikimoto cosmetics, LOVE. The fact that breakfast is delivered to your room every morning makes the stay even more intimate. Also, everything you need (metro, train, convenience store, restaurants) is in walking distance from the hotel while still having the tranquil moments given by the Kamogawa river, the greenery and the mountains. We're looking forward to coming back!

The location couldn’t have been better. Close to subway stations and bus routes as well as the Imperial Palace. The microwave, fridge and basic crockery made self catering easy. The size of the rooms left ample space to eat in the room

Very nice & heathly cafe within the hotel. The staff was very nice and we could rent bikes for the day. Amazing design, very clean and neat hotel !
