This accommodation was perfect for me as it was my first time in Tokyo. It was great value for money, quiet location, friendly staff, and very strong water pressure in the bathroom.

The BEST hostel/capsule I've been! The staff were super friendly, always greeting me when I left or came back to the hotel with a smile, made me feel very welcomed :) everything was tidy, clean and well managed, and I felt very comfortable staying in my little pod throughout the whole time. They have a separate powder room, bathroom, and toilet area - and with basically everything I need (even hair curlers). The location is also perfect, you can see the Skytree just outside, and there's a Don Quijote just across the street from the hotel. Highly recommend to anyone traveling solo or on a budget!!

The breakfast was amazing. The oninigiri station produced the best customized oninigiris everyday. It was just fantastic. The hotel was extremely conveniently located right across the street from Asakusa station. Amazing access to Asakusa Temple and walking distance (2.7km) from the Ueno Park and zoo. Just fantastic.

Hotel Nohga Ueno is also near to Ueno station, Ueno park, Ame Yoko, and a lot of really great spots for to eat and shop.
The design of the hotel is very classy and it really feels relaxing to come back after a long day. The size of the room we booked was a lot bigger that what I’m accustomed to in Tokyo. All the room facilities are great and well-maintained: the bed, shower, toilet, etc. We didn’t even get to try the spa and the other amenities, but just because we already feel so relaxed in our room.
We would like to commend and thank the friendly and helpful staff for patiently assisting us whenever we needed something. We appreciate the superb service!
We particularly like to say thanks to Yuta-san, who was working at the reception, for patiently helping us locate our missing item (which we came back for a few days later) and for the rest of the staff who helped find and secure it.
We will definitely stay here again!

The location was great, right in the middle of the Kappabashi district AND with a view of the Tokyo Skytree. Walking distance to a lot of sightseeing places (although the Skytree is further than it looks) but that of course depends on how mobile one is. However, we walked to the hotel from Ueno station with suitcases and found that quite manageable. But then we did arrive after 6pm when it was cooling down. Tokyo was in the middle of a heatwave, so had we arrived around noon, we would probably have taken a taxi.
It was great to have an appartment-style room with all that entails. We were very happy to use the washing mashine/dryer which worked extremely well. This not being a keycard place that controls electricity (access door code instead), one could do the laundry while not at the property.
Being able to leave our luggage there after check-out was a life-saver.
