This was the best house of my entire trip to Tasmania. We were a group of eight friends and were very tired the day we arrived from a hike up Cradle Mountain. The house was so big and well-equipped that it was perfect for recovering. We made pancakes in the enormous kitchen and then watched a movie in the living room. Because there were so many rooms, even the most tired among us could have our own room for some private time. The next day, we all felt super energetic again. The house was also incredibly cozy with a beautiful view of the mountain. We opened the curtains in the morning and looked out onto a meadow with animals and, beyond that, the mountain. It really had a vibe.

There is no word describing how nice was our stay. The cabin is big, really comfy with everything needed for a cosy stay. The bubble bath with the view over the mountain is unbeatable. Same with the big window from the room over Mt Roland ! The property is huge and really peaceful to walk around. On top of that John's, the owner, was so nice, full of knowledge about the flore and fauna. He gave us the perfect honeymoon gift by recommending us the Tasmanian Arboretum on our very last day before leaving so we could see some platypuses. Which we did ! It was amazing, thanks again for everything

The food was fantastic, everything was so fresh and my eggs Benedict were perfect. Our dinner was excellent, even my bowl of seasonal vegetables were cooked well and seasoned to perfection. The kids fish and chips was a grilled piece of local Salmon and chips!! - very tasy. Your chef and the staff are an asset.Thank you for the lovely stay.

So peaceful & quiet, really lovely and accommodating staff. Everything felt clean, which must be hard work in the forest. Food is great. Feeding the pademelons each night was fun. Nice having a games room to catch up with the family.

Walks were lovely and peaceful. Dinner was lovely. We got a BBQ pack for lunch and it was awesome. Great value for money and lots of it. Could easily feed a family of 2 adults and two young children. Restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Great games room with pool table and area to play chess and read.

Our family all agreed this was the best place we stayed at in Tasmania and mainly due to the truly amazing staff. Tracey and Grace were so hospitable and made our stay so special. The 2 teenagers travelling with us were made to feel very special by the staff and were so sad we couldn’t stay longer. The natural vegetation is amazing; enormous tree ferns and soaring gum trees. We loved the main log house and it’s alpine ambiance.
