Really nice hosts, they helped us a lot, offered advice on how to see the town best and were just really generally nice and helpful. The room is in a really nice looking location so it's a great base from which to see the town or just chill on the balcony. The provided ginger candys, toohbrush and tea which was also a bonus. When we were leaving the helped us with our bags and called a local taxi for us, since there aren't that many Didis in this town

They kindly offered ​​free pickup from the train station​​, which was super convenient. The staff was ​​incredibly friendly​​—always smiling and eager to help. Staying at Phoenix Haven was the highlight of our trip to Fenghuang Ancient Town. The location is unbeatable—right in the scenic area and just a short walk to the Tuojiang River. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated with local cultural elements, making it a cozy and unique experience. The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. He provided us with a detailed map of the town and gave excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing. If you're looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Fenghuang, this is it!

We had absolutely an amazing stay at the guesthouse. Initially we have made a reservation for 3 nights but we had issues we the train and it wasn’t an issue for the owner to change the dates of our reservation. In the end we had stayed all three nights. There owner is extremely helpful and make you feel like a part of his family. He is the most incredible and kind person. He was helping us to plan our days, book tickets, gave recommendations of even went with us to visit some places. Very caring person. The guesthouse is very new, rooms are specious and modern. We had breakfast brought to our room. It was local breakfast, every day a little different but big and filling. In the end of our stay we have asked to help with booking the taxi but the owner brought us to the train station by himself. The location is perfect as well. A few minutes from bus station(where direct bus from the train station is coming), it’s in the center of all attractions but at the same time in a quiet area. We would love to come back and when we do, we will stay in that hotel again ❤️ thank you for making us part of your family :) we really felt like at home. It was our best stay in China.
