Where should we start? The stay was perfect in every way. The family atmosphere, the very warm welcome, the extremely friendly host family, the many animals, the guided tours of the garden, the delicious breakfast. Thank you very much for everything, we felt very welcome.

We enjoyed a two-night stay here, my wife, son and I. We love the rustic aesthetic of these kinds of wood cabins. This one seemed to have been built fairly recently, as all of the interior finishings were new. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We slept well. In the mornings the howler monkeys came passing through the mango trees around the property. The setting feels remote but it's only 5 minutes drive into town where there is everything you need. Grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacy, bank, gas station, etc.. 15 minutes drive to Llanos de Cortes waterfalls for a swim or 25 minutes drive in the opposite direction to Miravalles Volcano. Wi-Fi worked well, host was helpful. All good!

The owner met us on site , very helpful . Gave us plenty of hints and tips about the property and surrounding area . Personal thermal plunge pool outside room was a relaxing touch.

Rio Perdido is located just a 45-minute drive from Daniel Oduber International Airport and boasts 18 km of on-site hiking trails and a thermal river with hot-spring pools.

The most amazing thing was the view in the evening and by day!!! The host was a super amazing dude, he checked on us if everything was okay. And he was so enthousiast. He told us everything what we could do in this region and around the property. He even lead us to a hike trial that not many people know of. It was an absolutly amazing stay! If you are in Costa Rica, you have to spent a night at this house, and probably 2!!

The location could be considered remote but with a car that is not a problem and indeed suited us best as it was very peaceful. The Cabin was ideal, the food was good, the staff very pleasant and they have a lovely pool
