Lovely place to stay in Ushguli. People at the reception are very helpful (helped us organize activities and the trip back to Mestia), rooms are nice and clean, there is no problem with access to the shared bathroom. The owner's dogs are huge and very friendly, and the little puppies were the cutest and an absolut highlight of our trip.

Nice environment, Maria and Beso are good hosts. Beautiful scenery and views of the village. Clean room and bathroom. Maria is very friendly and organized a horse riding excursion for us. I recommend the old tower.

The house is in the best location in Ushguli, with the most stunning view of Mount Shkhara. And the owner is an even more amazing person. He was even our horse riding guide — we rode to the Shkhara Glacier. The amenities in the house are varied and suitable for all kinds of people. the whole place is amazing, from the food to the little village. It's totally worth the detour especially to spend the night drinking chacha with Raul! We had the funniest night of our whole hike at this place!! Thanks a million, Raul! That was a blast!

I stayed here while trekking from Mestia to Ushguli and this was by far the best guesthouse I stayed in during the 5 days. Medea is an absolute star - she picked me up from Iprali, even though the road conditions were terrible and she made sure I was completely comfortable throughout my stay. Bath robes and slippers are available in the rooms (which is not the norm in guesthouses along the trekking route). The meal service was absolutely fantastic - fresh and varied food, including handmade pizza which Medea learned to make during her years living in Italy. Although the guesthouse is not directly in Iprali, it is absolutely worth staying here if you are trekking. Medea provides a level of service and comfort that you just will not find elsewhere.
