The host lived next door and was always responsive. The host knows the area well and gave us great advice. The host doesn’t speak much English but converses fine through a smart phone app. We never had trouble communicating. Breakfasts were good and we bought the dinners which were home-cooked traditional Kazakh meals. We told the host that we might be late and when we arrived late the host was there to greet us. He then took us to a local restaurant so that we would not get lost. We had our own guest house with a bed downstairs and a bed in the loft. It was warm (November stay) and comfortable. The guest house had a microwave, refrigerator, electric water kettle. We even got to have a Russian sauna in the home-made sauna next door. I’ve been in Kazakhstan for over a month and this was my favorite place!

The breakfast is simple, but good for the start of the day Location is nice: Saty is between two lakes Rooms are clean, facility is good, hosts are friendly. also, if you want to have launch, there are couple of caffe not far from A-frame.

The house was very modern and well designed. It offered lovely views and was equipped with all the necessary items. A small terrace served as a perfect spot for star gazing and admiring wild nature. The place was very quiet and secluded and at the same time you could reach the main street with shops and restaurants within a 10 min walk. Great location to discover the area. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Staying here was a truly unique experience, would love to come back one day.

We had a fantastic night at Tulpar Village. The houses are in the garden of the owners home and you become part of their families life for a day. My kids played with their kids, watched when a sheep was slaughtered in the garden and the owner helped us with our laundry. The houses are clean and spacious, there is warm water and breakfast is freshly prepared and tasty. The price is more than fair and the location is great if you want to visit Kolsay or Kaindy lake. Highly recommend this place.

Perfect location ! About 30 walk of the lake ! There is even a cave to visit on the way. Food both dinner and breakfastincluded Homemade food ! Clean and and everything we needed in the room ! The lady was really friendly and helped us with everything we needed !

Every breakfast and dinner was prepared with love and care, bursting with authentic flavors that made each bite a delight. It’s clear that food is a labor of love here, and I felt so fortunate to enjoy such delicious, heartfelt cooking. What truly made my stay special was the family’s incredible support. They went out of their way to help me plan visits to the nearby lakes, sharing invaluable tips and making sure I had the best experience possible. A special mention to little Kausar — her kindness, helpfulness, and bright spirit added so much joy to my visit. I also loved the chance to meet their friendly dogs and sheep, which added to the authentic countryside experience and made my short stay even more memorable. Although I was only there for two days, it felt like a home away from home, and I’m already looking forward to returning and staying longer next time. Kausar House is not just a place to stay — it’s a heartfelt experience filled with warmth, beauty, and genuine human connection. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with incredible hospitality in a stunning natural setting.
