The owners were friendly and welcoming. They upgraded our room without asking them. Dinner was nice (good italian ragu pasta) and also the breakfast. We felt good and at ease at this property.

We stayed at La Casa in Cetate for one night during our trip back from Greece to Cluj, and we really enjoyed it. The house is spotless clean, everything inside is brand new – from the furniture and TVs to the fully equipped kitchen. It has a spacious terrace and a lovely garden, perfect for relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere of the village, which really reminded us of childhood days at our grandparents’ home. There is private parking inside the yard, which was very convenient. The hosts are extremely kind and welcoming, and they truly made us feel at home. They even showed us a video of the nearby Danube beach – a sandy spot where people can swim and relax. We didn’t have time to go this time, but it looked wonderful, and we’d love to come back for a longer stay to enjoy it. Overall, it’s a beautiful, quiet place with wonderful hosts – we definitely recommend it!

Everything was well placed and each bedroom had a bathroom. The kids had fun exploring the playground and the yard and petting the kittens. It was a 5 minute from the Lidl at Calafat which is next to the bridge to Vidin, Bulgaria and close to gas stations

Modern and comfortable apartment in old building, on walking distance from town centre. Host was not present but we was constantly in touch on WhatsApp, so no problems with finding the property.

We only spent one night at the accommodation as we were just passing through. The hostess is very nice and friendly. The accommodation is beautiful and lovingly furnished, with some plants and flowers in the courtyard. Everything is very clean and well-maintained. On the evening of our arrival, there was a festival in town, and we were able to reach the event in about 10-15 minutes on foot.

It was a short but very good stay. In Poland, it is increasingly difficult to find a place where birds chirping wakes you up, lazy dogs lie on the side of the road, people take off their shoes out of respect before entering their homes, bedding smells of freshness known only from childhood, guests and dogs are welcome. This place, located right next to the mighty Danube, has preserved everything that is beautiful and important. If you want to see the charm of Romania for a while, I recommend this place.
