This beautiful Lodge is located right at the entrance to the quiloto loop. The hostess is warm and lovely and happy to chat. The dinner was fabulous! The bed comfortable and warm with many blankets. Great breakfast and pack lunch. There's a fireplace games and books as well as endless coffee tea and water. Plus good wifi. All that amazingness and you walk out the door in the morning and you're on the trail!

I rarely give 10 points but this place deserves it! yes it can be chilly at night, yes it is in the middle of the countryside (so you need a car to reach it) but the kindness of the owners are exceptional! My son got altitude sickness and the owners did their best to cure him + they helped us finding accommodation in other part of Ecuador without hesitation (since our mobil didn't work here). The dinner and the breakfast are tasty, fresh homemade and plenty. The same applies to the breakfast. The garden of the house is beautiul and well maintained and there is a nice panorama over the canyon. Quilotoa lake is a short drive from here. The hotel has turkish bath and sauna but we didn't try them at the end. The wifi is strong. :)

Our host Fernando made sure we had everything covered and organized daily tours to any destinations (Illinizas, Cotopaxi Park etc.) with his guides. The rooms were smallish but very cozy and very calm

They are so lovely, hardworking, friendly, and helpful. The location is great, just off the trail to Quilotoa so you only need to start walking down hill in the morning. The hostel is very quiet. The food is good with nice big portion sizes. Definitely a good place to stay on the hike!
