There was milk (not artificial whitener) for my tea in a fridge that we could also use for our food. The bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows as well as all the linens and towels were great quality. The common spaces were modern and comfortable. Absolutely lovely position in Connemara national park. The hotel is child friendly with fantastic activities. The food is lovely and fresh with good options. The development isn't fancy but great for couples or families.
Great location-couldn’t be better. Very cosy family hotel. Breakfast was great. Extremely friendly staff. Very old fashioned (in a good way)place. You know exactly what you get. Fantastic pub with live music just downstairs. Great restaurant.
I loved every minute of it from the moment I stood into the foyer, spacious and comfortable, the receptionist was kind and helpful, the bedroom was warm, quiet and cozy with interesting furniture and details, the stairs and corridors wide and revealing of their old world antique furniture. We learned that this family hotel is almost 200 years old!! The restaurant was quaint and delightful, service was lively and friendly, food was delicious and varied, I really wanted to stay for another dessert 😁
This hotel was so delightful! Located on the hillside overlooking the sea, it was so adorable. We loved the old-fashioned key, there was plenty of room for our family of four, and the staff was so kind and personable! The food there was also great and they had plenty of vegan options for my husband! Not to mention, the hotel dog, Belle, who led us down the path to the beach and played endlessly with my kids.
We are a young family with 2 children and this was ideal for our stay of a few nights in Clifden. The house was equipped with everything we needed and furnished comfortably. The reserved parking space in a secure underground car park, with lift access, was a very welcome bonus. No issues at all getting a pram in and out. Everything was very straightforward and the location couldn't be better.
Everything. Very well run small, family hotel in fabulous location.
