This was my favorite stay in India. We made a slight upgrade when arriving to the property for a nicer view. The location was great, we were provided amazing recommendations, even a last minute tour guide (that met us at our location when our tour guide didn’t show. We felt like family and like we were taken care of, looked after, with genuine kindness. The property was clean, smelled nice, no issues with mold (it’s frequent in India). Don’t bother looking at other properties, this is the one!

Guests at Senamura Yoga Ashram Guesthouse can make the most of yoga classes offered in-house. For guests with children, the accommodation features outdoor play equipment. A car rental service is available at Senamura Yoga Ashram Guesthouse. If you want to experience the local culture while supporting a good cause, this is the place to do so! We felt very welcome in the family and as we visited during the festival we got taken along to all the ceremonies the festival entails. This was a truly unique experience which we are very happy to have been a part of. Furthermore the guesthouse is next to the school it supports so you can easily pay a visit there too. The place is just outside of town, so this gives some peace from the busy city. But it can be reached easily by tuktuk (although you might need to help a bit with the navigation) from the temple area of bodh gaya. The guesthouse serves a simple but delicious breakfast and dinner as well as an assortment of hot drinks. Beds are basic but comfortable, so is the shower with reliable hot water. The guesthouse can also arrange other touristic excursions or transportation with a good driver and comfortable car. They are however not the cheapest option in this category.

Breakfast was excellent as well. In general food was good.

You couldn’t ask for better restaurant staff. Jaymesh, Suraj, and the chef are equally exceptional, true professionals in every sense. I’m deeply grateful for their service. Housekeeper Vishal Kumar has excellent customer service skills and would be well suited to a managerial role. Shabaz on reception is also very good. All of these staff members deserve recognition and promotion. Their level of care, professionalism, and warmth is rare, and I believe they will rise to higher positions in the industry. You are all ten stars out of ten.

The location is a short autorickshaw ride from town, and so it is away from the main hustle and bustle. Just 15 mins walk from Root Institute. I felt at home and very comfortable at Bodhgaya Hotel School and would return if I return to Bodhgaya.
