Family hotels and homes in East Iceland

What a wonderful little farm stay. The guest house was very spacious, the jacuzzi was hot and ready when we arrived, the hosts were very friendly and allowed the kids to visit the horses in the stable. The property had toys for the kids, a highchair at the table for the baby to eat, and very comfortable home-like charm to it. One of our favorite stays during our Iceland holiday.

The hosts received us personally which was great. Room size was decent, they also asked if we needed a baby crib. Bathroom was also big and newly renovated. View from the property is outstanding as it is on a hill. Neat and clean.

We absolutely loved our stay here, it was real Icelandic countryside and the hosts were just so lovely.. we even got invited to the farm to see the animals! It was the best nights sleep on our whole Iceland trip, the kids slept until 10 am for the first time ever in their life! Such comfy beds and nice cottage. Really recommend this place for everyone and for families with younger kids it is awesome! Would love to come back one day!

The Hotel Manager and her family were great, we enjoyed chatting about life in iceland and my son loved playing and exploring the area with the kids. The hotel was clean and tidy and breakfast was a lovely mix of meats, cheeses, pancakes, cereals and more.

The hosts are a family that are renting their home's upstairs rooms, that belonged to their children and now are remade to fit a BnB style. That is exactly what it is - a homey atmosphere, clean and homey rooms, handmade furniture and decorations, so it is all you want from a home away from home.
