The place is very well located, just a few minutes walk to the old town. The room with the terrace we booked had an amazing view. The hosts were helpful and suggested a good parking place close by.

The location was tricky to get to, but that is not the hotel's fault. They are accessible only by foot due to the way the ancient town was built. I received excellent recommendations from the hotel about parking for our rental car. There is a secure parking building about 15 minutes walk away that cost 20 euro per day, although this is not the only option. The reception staff were excellent and organised for our luggage to be taken to our room - much appreciated considering the cobbled paths around the hotel. The room was large, quiet and well appointed. The included continental breakfast was adequate and the spa facilities were a nice addition.

From the time we arrived at the reception we knew we were in for a great stay. The city and the hotel were magical , we did not want to leave. Antonio gave us the warmest welcome. He was informative and you knew the entire staff were dedicated to making your stay the best it could be. The breakfast was delightful with typical Italian selections and alternatives to meet anyone’s needs. It’s hard to put your camera down even the bathroom is worth a picture. We travel extensively and this stay definitely stands out . We would recommend and hope to return someday to enjoy their delightful wines and ambience , Millie Grazie

Set in a restored Tuff-stone building, Hydria Rooms is a guest house located in Matera, 60 metres from Sasso Barisano. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. The stay at this property was amazing! Communication was top-notch, and the valuable information provided about the trip in Matera. It truly enhanced the experience and made everything much easier.
