We used the service to pick up our luggage from the luggage storage, and explored our way up to the beautiful hotel location on foot. The staff were welcoming. Dinner was both beautiful and delicious, and it was great to be able to book the bath for a relaxing private bath. The rooms were spacious, pretty, relaxing, and quiet with an amazing view!

Our stay exceeded our expectations, which were already high based on photos and reviews of the hotel. The staff gave us a wonderful welcome and provided all useful information we could need (in English) and were so helpful in arranging transfers to and from the ferry port. The facility is gorgeous and it is clear that a lot of thought went into the details, from the amenities to the decor and also in the guest experience. The onsens were also beautifully done and very relaxing. The food was excellent and most of it locally sourced. The Japanese breakfast was exceptional and we also had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant one night. Lastly, the staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a very lovely stay and would stay again!

Situated in Hiroshima and within less than 1 km of Myoei-ji Temple, LAZULI Hiroshima Hotel and Lounge has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. The property is close to several well-known attractions, 1.4 km from Hiroshima University Institute of Medical History, less than 1 km from Hiroshima Station and 1.8 km from Hiroshima City Minami Ward Community Cultural Center. The accommodation features a concierge service, and luggage storage for guests. Everything! We had a tatami suite double room with balcony, which had lots of space and a view of the river, and we would keep going to the balcony just to take in the sunrise, sunset, the fish and the birds. The room was clean and comfortable, had tea (get your refill bags from the lounge area) and coffee and if you just need to wash a few items, the shower room has a drying fan which was super useful. The staff were warm and friendly and replied promptly to my messages prior to our arrival. They gave us recommendations, helped make a restaurant reservation, and called a taxi for us. The sake tasting session was a bonus! The hotel location is quite tranquil, and a few minutes' walk will bring you to a tram stop and beyond that, it's a few more minutes to Hiroshima Station.

It is a pity that cables are in this view as seen from the rooms but you can go up on the flat roof for an unobstructed view. It is not very far on a nearly flat road to the ferry to Onomichi so it makes a good last night if you are cycling from Imabari taking several days as we did. We had a comfort Japanese style room.

We had the half board with multi course traditional Japanese meals. They were amazing but yes, pricey. We wore our traditional Japanese. The hubby used the Osen and said it was fabulous. I didn’t go as I stayed with our 10 year old daughter who didn’t feel comfortable doing it. The staff was helpful and courteous. We left our bags with them on the day of checkout and they brought us to the ferry around 14.30.
