Close to a bus stop and out of the city so it’s quiet. Really nice host who has travelled the world and speaks perfect English. Highly recommended!

SEKIYA RESORT Galleria Midobaru se encuentra en Beppu, a 25 km de Oita Bank Dome, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, restaurante y bar. El servicio es espectacular. Está un poco lejos de la ciudad, pero lo vale por sus vistas y su onsen en la habitación. Vale la pena completamente, volveríamos sin dudarlo!

My stay at Lodge Kiyokawa in Kyushu was like stepping into a hidden slice of paradise; the treehouses felt like cozy nests high among the trees, with the river's gentle murmur as my lullaby. Alex and Masato, made sure every meal was a delight, and their suggestions for hiking and biking turned my trip into an unforgettable blend of relaxation and adventure.

Ikkoten está en Yufu, a 50 km de Oita Bank Dome, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y salón de uso común. I had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at Ikkoten with my three children, and our stay was nothing short of perfection. We were originally going to stay as a family of 5 at the KAI Yufuin but when an important business trip took my husband out of the vacation we had to quickly pivot because my ten year old son wouldn’t have been able to use the hot springs alone there. The reservable family onsen as well as our private indoor/outdoor onsen (we stayed in Kyara) allowed him to have as wonderful an experience as the girls and I. While the family onsen is great, we loved the convenience and privacy of our private one so much that we ended up using the family onsen only once. Notably, this is not a part of Japan where there’s a ton of English spoken, but the staff at Ikkoten had excellent English, which was super helpful for us as American visitors. They were super accommodating of the kids and provided samue (pajamas that are also worn to meals), geta (wooden sandals), and slippers in multiple sizes. The grounds are beautiful - a back drop of tall seeene forest (you can always here the serene sound of wind rushing through the leaves and pine needles), mountains at Mt Yufu on the other sides, and then a beautiful manicured garden. Our late March stay marked the beginnings of all kinds of blooms, and just standing outside you’d catch the perfumed scent of all kinds of beautiful flowers. The meals were absolutely incredible. The kids got wonderful multi-course meals of rice and tempura and miso soup (with a little bit of new and interesting dishes to try too). My 12 year old daughter was considered an adult by the resort, but when I requested kids meals for her, they were happy to pivot after 24 hours (the kaiseki meals were just too much for her 40kg frame!!). But those kaiseki meals were truly scrumptious. When booking the property for multiple nights, I hadn’t realized how overwhelming they could be, and I swear I gained like 10lbs just in those 3 days alone!!

AMANE resort GAHAMA está en Beppu, a 24 km de Oita Bank Dome, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, terraza y restaurante. Este ryokan de 5 estrellas ofrece wifi gratis y bar. Llegamos a este hotel casi por casualidad en nuestra luna de miel cuyo cronograma íbamos ajustando nosotros mismos durante el viaje. Con la idea de salirnos unos días de los circuitos turísticos más frecuentados de Japón, fuimos a Kyushu, concretamente Beppu. Ahí dimos con este maravilloso y desconocido hotel con habitaciones espaciosas que eran todo un lujo, vistas al amanecer en el mar, onsen privado, club launge con bebida y tapas gratuitas y desayunos y cenas colosales. Dos días nos han sabido a poco. Destacar la gran ayuda y amabilidad de Víctor, un español que trabaja en el hotel que ha contribuido a que nuestra estancia sea maravillosa.
