The lady at the desk is be best host we had in the entire south wast asia. She will help you with anything from tours, rentals, suggestions on traveling in and out of Pakse, e-visas, and money transfers. She even opens her doors to tourists outside the hostel for some friendly advice. A must-stay in Pakse.

We arrived very early in the morning (after a night journey on a sleeping bus), but we were warmly welcomed and able to leave our luggage. By around 10 a.m., our room was ready, which we appreciated greatly. We spent a couple of very peaceful days, something that is very important to us. We loved the quick responses, excellent communication, cleanliness, and attentive service from Xavier and his wife. We used their laundry service, and our clothes were returned clean within a few hours. We also rented a motorbike from them to explore some waterfalls along part of the loop, and everything worked perfectly. Lastly, we purchased tickets to Don Det through them, with pickup directly from the accommodation. Everything was punctual and convenient. My room was large, and the bed was comfortable. The people staying in the hotel usually eat together in the common area at night. This made it easy to meet people and talk to other guests. The hotel also has hammocks, books, and board games. The island the guest house it on is beautiful and the people are very kind. If you rent a scooter or bike, it is easy to get to the other islands. The food provided by the guesthouse is excellent and fairly priced. Great place to relax, meet other travelers, and enjoy the best of Southern Laos. They also provide cooking classes and fishing. The owner provides free drinking water. Bring your own reusable bottle if you can. Otherwise you can fill your plastic water bottle. I

Darren was an excellent host, he helped us out a few times especially when we were leaving as our bus company had not organised any transport for us to get to the boat nor a boat to get back to Don Det. With him speaking Lao he organised it all for us & took us on his bike 1 by 1 to the boat ramp so that we could finally catch our bus to Siem Reap. Extremely helpful.
