If you’re lucky and the host isn’t too busy, you might even be able to join a tour with Janet. They are very helpful joyful. It’s a great way to explore not only the popular tourist spots but also some hidden local favorites.

They went out of their way to help not only us but two friends we were traveling with who were not even booked at the Villa. All their communication was prompt and in the face of some travel difficulties, made us feel so well cared for. The owner even took us out the night of our stay to different locations to view the famous Matsu blue tears. In 15 years of living in and traveling around Taiwan, the experience of fantastic service along with a lovely, tasteful, well designed facility make it to the top of our list for best places to stay.

Fantastic charming old house in a beautiful village in Matsu Beigan Island. This place is so peaceful and relaxing. Hosts were very nice and helpful; they didn't speak much English but we managed to understand each other well. The owner welcomed me at the airport with his car. And later he even offered me a ride to the nearby village of Qiaozi. I will surely come back.
