It was an unbelievable stay. The castle is on the top of a hill, surrounded by nature. Rooms are immaculate, spa very well organised with a lot of saunas. The restaurant… exquisite food, I had the best lamb ever . Breakfast is above the expectations of a top Italian breakfast and … believe me .. I am Italian very picky on food. The bombolone and the caprese cake were unforgettable. Last but not least : location is few minutes from the CH boarder and you can bypass Choassi which is normally very busy , so it is a perfect base to visit the Como Lake and to return to North Europe .

The staff were extremely amazing, especially Jemia and Daniel they were very helpful and welcoming and made our stay comfortable, and they were nice enough to give us an early check-in, and we requested a kettle and the receptionist gave us one to use. They wanted our stay to be amazing, and we thank them for that. The outdoor view is beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. Parking was available, and the property has good security measures. Horse stable was interesting.

The place where you would want to stay again! I chose this location because it is well located, close to any location you want to see: Maggiore, Como, Varese or Orta. But more than that, I found something that exceeded my expectations, a place that is located in the middle of a beautiful, well-kept garden on the outskirts of Varese. The guesthouse is new, tastefully decorated and offers very good quality services. Large and clean rooms, with comfortable beds, where you don't miss anything to feel good. Very kind hosts, thank you Mirela and congratulations! Easy to access by car, has its own parking, self check in but also reception service. Very good breakfast, with local products of the best quality, tasty and fresh. I highly recommend this location!

I love how kind Federico was and always willing to help. the food served during dinner was amazing, probably the best pasta I’ve had. The view from the hotel was breathtaking and really nice to wake up to.

With "extraordinary" I mean in this case rather "different than expected". Unfortunately, we had not been able to stay at Il Marnich because of a double booking, which the host noticed late, his mail about it we received after we were already on the road (and could not check mails). But he had organized us an alternative night with breakfast for the same price in a charming hotel a little further away. So we drove though in vain an adventurous, winding road to Il Marnich, had to wait until the host came, who explained everything to us and personally showed the 6 km narrow hairpin road back the way to the other hotel. So all I can say about Il Marnich is that it is fantastically located and made a wildly romantic, unique impression, that it smelled tempting from the preparations in the kitchen and that the host was extremely nice and helpful.
