Ayabe
Satoyama Guest House Couture has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Ayabe, 13 km from Maizuru Brick Park. This 1-star farm stay offers a 24-hour front desk and a shared kitchen. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the farm stay's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. My family had an exceptional time with Yuki, Eriko, Saku & Aito. Yuki is an amazing tour guide and host. Can't wait to visit again.

The property offers bike hire and features a garden and sun terrace. Incredibly gracious hosts and a very relaxing and serene spot in nature. They prepared an amazing dinner, at our request vegetarian for us although of course they do other stuff as well. A very pleasant selection of sake to go with the meal some very nice hikes in the area. Truly a beautiful pause.
Ayabe
Featuring a hot tub, 一汁一菜の宿 ちゃぶダイニング Ichiju Issai no Yado Chabu Dining, A Private Farmstay in Rural Kyoto is located in Ayabe. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The farm stay features a hot tub and a shared kitchen. The stay in the farm was really fantastic! I recommend to spend 3 or 4 nights there, to enjoy the calm of the area and to try farming and cooking rice and miso soup . The hosts are very thoughtful and I enjoyed speaking with them about Japan and others things. We have also done the « Okudosan » activity, which I recommend. The women during the activity were very nice and we had a lot of fun.

It's got a very natural location, right in the middle of the forest. Even heard there were sightings of bears. The farm is nice and great for kids: vegetable fields, rabbits, goats, sheep, horses. The best things about the house were the nice TV and excellent WiFi.
Great facilities + amenities and staff are accommodating. It’s a really great chain of hotels and the Kyoto branch do wonderful things. They are trained well and the onsen is great
The staff were super helpful, patient and accommodating when my plans went wry. It was a perfect haven for rest between busy days. It's location is pristine, close to the rural edge of town and beautiful ponds/mountains/forests. I enjoyed hiring the bicycle and would recommend it for the closer attractions. The breakfast was good too.
Perfect place for longer stays. Having a kitchen and laundry machine was great to have. Staff at the Guest Service Centre and at the Branch Reception were both excellent. Was pleasantly surprised that the Service Centre would deliver our bags to our room free of charge! Most buses were within a 10min walk, but we found trains more reliable for getting around.
Our Bath View room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we loved the view out on to the green wall. The location is excellent with easy access to buses and subway, short walking distance to Gion and main shopping area and with numerous good restaurants very close by. Our favourite was a small ‘farm to table’ restaurant on the first or second small street opposite the hotel, run by an enthusiastic group of young people.
The cabin was spacious (for 2 persons) and clean. The place does not have towels and we didn’t bring any, but the host quickly got us some before the farm shop closed at 18:00pm. So kind! Also, there’s a restaurant that offers a buffet style diner. All the food served is local and very very delicious.
A lovely small family run property with a rustic Japanese feel. The breakfasts are amazing and waking up to freshly baked Japanese bread, baked on sight, is just fantastic. I highly recommend to stay here, we had 11 nights and were made to feel so welcome.
- The staff was exceptionally helpful. We were rearranged from the original hotel to another branch, but that did not cause any disruptions to our travel itinerary. The hotel manager was really respectful and amicable, and helped us with every requests or questions we had. - Most likely the best hotel I've stayed in a very long time - All staff speaks really good English
The staff were extremely nice and very helpful. The place is rural (close to Ine fishing village), so the staff were eager help by giving tips on where to eat and local bus times to Ine. We do not speak Japanese and the staff happily used Google translate to explain everything to us.
