I only stayed three days here, but I still think about it all the time. Driving through the golden-green hills--arriving at a tiny century-old renovated schoolhouse, with lots of breakfast foods provided--and there are hot tubs out on the deck! And chickens for friends, giving egg-presents! I felt totally spoiled. Best of all, I went on a hike on their incredible on-site farm track--one of the more stunning walks of my life, and that was the case even when a fog came down, and I had to be rescued by Nic! Which was its own whole adventure. I hope to be able to go back someday. Meanwhile, please enjoy it for me.

Loved the beautiful landscaped garden , the hosts immediately made me feel at home offering me beverages on arrival. We had a nice chat together. The bed was comfy . I slept so well and the bathroom was just across the corridor. Jasmine made me a lovely dinner with a fabulous Tiramisu for desert. There was plenty of supplies for breakfast . The cozy, comfy bunkie and sweet porch were a perfect mini-retreat, and we appreciated the warm hospitality of our hosts, Sea and Karl, along with their local knowledge. We enjoyed meeting many of the beloved farm animals with their hilarious names, and visiting the local swimming hole, the spectacular walks, and the incredible nearby Wharariki Beach (which was so cool even in the partial fog). All of these elements contributed to our wonderful unforgettable time at Mælstrøm End Eco Farmstay and our visit to this serene yet vibrant corner of the Earth (we already miss their magical and friendly white shepherd dog!)
