We absolutely loved staying at Oudebosch Guest farm. The accommodation was so comfortable, the views of the mountains were awe inspiring, lovely pool as well. The cherry on top of the cake however, was the morning horse ride we did with Linda, we are absolute beginners, but Linda and her horses made it seem effortless. Such a lovely ride and wonderful stay.

The host Rona is so lovely, we felt so welcomed by her straight away. The cottage had everything we needed, a lovely shower and very comfortable bed. It is right on the N2 but you can’t hear it from the cottages at all. The farm is beautiful - we would love to stay here again!

It was lovely to stay there with our children. We made the most of swimming in the river and feeding the baby goats. Dinner was amazing. Thank you for the perfect stay.

Set beside a forest and intersected by a stream, Oakhurst Farm Cottages are situated in Hoekwil, Wilderness along the Garden Route. This charming farm setting features a farm dam and forest. Our stay at Oakhurst was just exceptional. It completely exceeded our expectations. This is pure bliss and wilderness in every sense of the word. We stayed in the Forge (bungalow) which was basically a 2 bedroom farmhouse surrounded by trees and beautiful shrubs and plants. Very spacious and excellently appointed house with big windows overlooking the vast forest scenery during the day and the moon and stars at night. We were greeted by grazing horses virtually on our doorstep - magical! This was truly a stress free zone (as the arrival sign stated). Woodfired hot tub and pool just off the covered patio deck, You can lose yourself outside for hours. The stress of the big city just melts away as you enter and re-enter the hot tub. There was even a beautiful outdoor shower between the shrubs, lit by fairy lights and wooden log steps. Just pure magic! We loved every single minute, including the horse riding tour and bass fishing in the dam. They have a lovely farm shop with excellent fresh produce and meats for the braai (there are convenient braai and breakfast baskets on offer which gets delivered to your cabin - all you need to do is light the fire and sit back and relax). Easily the best farm stay we have ever had. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in nature to help de-stress, this is absolutely it. We will definitely be back soon for a longer stay.

Top location next to the river and with own jetty. The big lawns were great for the kids to play on. The accommodation was spotless. A number of little things show that the home is loved by the owners, like having all necessary cutlery/crockery/utensils in the kitchen, quality linen, multiple boardgames etc.
