We stayed at Holderstanzenhof for a week and would happily have stayed longer. The apartment is very comfortable and is equipped with everything that is needed to be able to self-cater. But the real highlight of the stay is the apartment's wonderful location. This is the last house on a quiet road that leads to the top of a hill. The location is peaceful with excellent views across the woods hills. There are countless walks from the front door. St Peterstal is only a short walk/drive away with excellent shops and additional walking opportunities. The hosts are very welcoming and full of helpful advice, but also happy to leave guests to get on with their holiday.

The hotel is a wonderful example of how the rustic ambient and historic look can be combined with the current modern feeling and making everything look beautiful, clean and pleasant to stay/use. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean, everything is at your disposal. Internet work smoothly and all the small additions make the whole experience feel like you are in a very This hotel is for sure a great stay. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and arranged everything to make our stay pleasant and easy to come after the reception hours. The breakfast was superb! The restaurant looks absolutely beautiful with the very nice decor and nice emphasis on details and cleanliness. The breakfast options are really good and the food was delicious, local, fresh and very, very tasty. With the presentation of the food in a very nice arrangement (see photos), the hotel with its breakfast is on the level of a 4*-5* restaurant, so for any foodie out there the hotel is a perfect stay, for sure! All in all, the whole experience with the hotel was perfect, which is a rare thing in today's time. I can say with certainty this hotel is one of the best I have been to and I definitely recommend anyone to stay here, also because it is very close to many attractions and close to the highway, but still enough away to give that special feeling coming from the historic ambient of the hotel. I will for sure come back to enjoy such a superb experience, thank you Ochsen for such a great stay, service and warm welcoming feeling!

It was clean, new, cosy, tv’s had the right apps installed (great with small kids) and the big apartment has airconditioning. Staff is helpful and trusting. There’s a great little hike possible at the premises. The adjacent stream drowns out any surrounding noise (if any).

Exeptional experience! One of the best places we stayed in ever. A perfect apartment for family to stay in, in a great location to go for a daily trips in the middle and upper black forest. Dina, the host was INCREDEBLE! She made sure we have anything we need and more. She treated us with amazing unexpected breakfast, help with the laundry and filled the fridge with groceries when we arrived. Erol, her son, made sure we are comfortable and kept communicating with us to make sure that everything is ok. The apartment was so clean, and everything is new and well maintained. We felt like at home, everything we just need. The kitchen was full of all the tools and appliances that you can just imagine and we had a nice front porch to sit in and enjoy.

Wonderful accommodation tucked away in the Black Forest. Very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. Great facilities with lots of games and things to do. Hosts were lovely and very helpful. Uli spoke to my son a lot, who is learning German, which was great practice!
