I recently stayed with my family and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The place had a great atmosphere and the staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Beautifully set boutique hotel, very peaceful in an otherwise busy touristy town. Great architecture and style, super high ceilings, great and airy rooms with direct sea view. The team truly went above and beyond to cater to all our needs which was truly amazing and I could not commend them higher. I wish we had stayed here longer.

The location is convenient by tuk-tuk to Hikkaduwa beach. The rooms are beautiful, each decorated differently. breakfast and dinner were ample and delicious. The best part was the manager, a very helpful and interesting man. We hired a boat with driver and enjoyed better-than-expected snorkeling outside the reef.

Mo River House is nothing short of a paradise. Our stay was unforgettable. It's not really a hotel in the normal sense, it's a beautiful villa, with only 3 rooms and a 5-star service by the caretakers, who also can cook for you, whatever you want (you just need to provide the ingredients). It's located on a lagoon, with a large private swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation. It's perfect for those who want a quiet place to read and relax. It's a 10 minutes walk from the beach.
