We stayed a week at this small family run hostel 5km up the hill from Minca. The views are incredible. Many birds, including Toucans, can be viewed from the terrace. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom a bit of a squeeze. Very homely. Very tranquil. Jose and his family are extremely friendly and helpful and made our visit memorable. The meals are simple and varied. If you’re fit and enthusiastic there are several good trails further into the hills. The small pool is welcome after a hot day in the rainforest. Motorbike taxis are frequent to and from Minca. Highly recommended.

We liked the size of the room, the staff are kind, helpful, and courteous, the pool and sauna are very pleasant, and the room is quiet despite being in the central area of the historic district with many restaurants and bars nearby.

Massages on site. Hot water showers and breakfast with several options to choose from. Good WiFi. You can also hike to a nearby waterfall for the afternoon. Highly recommended. I will be back when I can stay longer!
