Gorgeous riverside location, right in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by hummingbird and beautiful garden. Our room was in a separate cabin and had a private balcony with hammock and open air bathroom. Overall such a unique and memorable stay. Lovely food cooked by chef Victor, and manager Luis was wonderful - he took excellent care of us and organised our kayaking trips to the lagoons and Livingston.

Dedicated and friendly team. Location is amazing along the river. The cook is about to become a chef, so the food is very tasty (I hope you will be able to try those giant schrimps). I initially planned to stay 1 night before heading to Livingstone and decided to stay 3 nights and skipped the Livingstone trip (which you can make directly from the hotel). Cheers

A superb and very different place to stay. Really away from it all with excellent facilities. Every meal was a joy and the friendly staff could not have been more helpful. Spotless room and nothing was too much trouble.

Delicious food (french toast and the buffalo chicken salad are my recommendations!) , impeccably clean hotel, kind and extremely helpful staff. I stayed here towards the end of my travels and had injured my leg, the staff were so helpful and kind with their advice, ice pack and even coming into the pharmacy with me to help me translate when I needed some medication.

Placed in an exquisite and unique location, Tortugal is a gem and a must if you are coming by this area in Guatemala. Super friendly staff plus a fantastic and delicious food sums up to achieve almost perfection. I can add that this is a family-kids.friendly location. We came with our 2 kids (7 and 9yrs) and the staff was super nice with them too.

Everything! Cannot fault a thing. The lodge is beautiful. The service outstanding. The price is right for the area and location. We experienced the worst storm they had in 12 years. Rain, wind leaves and branches flying everywhere at the start of dinner service. The staff did a great job at keeping calm and functioning under pressure. They even cleaned in no time no had dinner served for everyone after the worst was over, I was more then impressed as this was going above and beyond

The whole experience was next level. The accommodation was a dream, the staff was superb, and the meals were unbelievably delicious and hearty. Booked only for one night, so next time, I will also take some of the great tours they offer (e.g., the sunrise kayak tour or a hike to the waterfalls nearby). I warmly recommend this place!

Beautiful place. Great location. The bungalows are amazing if you want a little privacy / luxury and the common area is a delight to hang out in. Hot shower! Amazing food. And the staff were lovely. Especially Angela. I was battling a stomach bug and Angela went above and beyond to help me out with getting medication and so on.

Boatique is such a beautiful and idyllic spot. Perfect for relaxing. It’s also easy enough to explore the local area as they offer a number of free shuttle rides to the main land every day. They also provide good advice about how to do activities cheaply - e.g. to get to the waterfall you can go on a boat for 200 each, or they suggest the chicken bus for a lower price. The food is also very good here and has lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Can highly recommend the Buddha bowl and the soup!
