Van Oys Maastricht Retreat, a Leading Hotel of the World está en Eijsden, a 2,3 km de Kasteel van Rijckholt, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. We loved our stay here and the location is beautiful. Everything is very well curated and rooms are so comfortable (we had the deluxe room) which even had a small “fire place” in it. They just opened 3 months ago and everything was running smoothly. From the staff upon arrival, arrival drink and showing us the room, to the service in wine bar and during breakfast. Everything was perfect. They even put a maternity pillow in my room and slight present for our babymoon , without asking, to make the stay more comfortable. The spa wasnt open yet (which we knew) but we’ll happily come back in a few months. Thank you!

Set in a Gothic monastery, Kruisherenhotel Maastricht - Oostwegel Collection, member of Design Hotels has free WiFi. It has a mezzanine level restaurant in the central church hall. An exceptionally interesting hotel.

Located in Valkenburg and with Vrijthof reachable within 12 km, Château St Gerlach - Oostwegel Collection, member of Relais and Châteaux provides a tour desk, allergy-free rooms, a terrace, free WiFi... The property is gorgeous, with every nook and cranny oozing with history and character. Driving in was easy, check-in was helpful, showed us all interesting spots to visit on a map and asked to help with our luggage. We took a late lunch at the bistro close to the grounds entry, which was delicious. This is where we tried the house wine for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. We chose the rose garden and the orchard as a place to unwind before dinner. Dinner was sublime and the staff really took the dietary needs of my pregnant wife seriously. Almost every dish was extra tailored specifically for her. Room was lovely and had a very nice welcome gift for my wife’s birthday. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had with very nice choices a la carte and buffet. After checkout we borrowed an umbrella for the sun and went around on a hike that was guided via an app, all was very easy to install and follow. Coming back we also went into the church and learned about the life of St. Gerlac and his journey from a bandit to a saint, not often you hear about such redemption arcs. Back at the hotel the staff went the extra mile to open the bar ahead of schedule to serve us drinks before we set off home.
