From the moment we stepped into the property and i saw the Freda Khalo pics on the wall, it was clear that this property is going to be balm to all soul, emotion and all senses. Superbly decorated, superior linen, the closest to perfection in every respect. Our stay at this house, set a very high standard for all future s/catering selection.

Breakfast was 5-star! We did not expect such an exceptional offering. Tracey's fruit, home-made breads, cake were particularly outstanding. All served round the pool in style!

Beautiful oasis in the Karoo, the host was welcoming and attentive. We loved the swimming pool, abundance of birds and trees in the garden. Rooms were comfortable and very elegant. Five stars for sure.

This was a place where I could compare it to a 5-star luxury suite. It was a modern home with all the latest finishes and facilities. There was no lack of comfort. The attention to detail was remarkable.

Matjiesfontein is a charming tiny town, what it lacks in size it makes up for in character and experience. We had a warm welcome, stunning room with balcony over looking the mountain views. A complimentary tour of the town, and a performance on piano in the old bar next door. We felt transported to a time long ago. The furnishings and rooms are full of old world luxury and charm. Dinner was superb! We would love to come back
