The facility was new and spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of outlets, closet space, a large bathroom with an excellent hot shower. The window opening enabled a nice breeze. The breakfast offered lots of options, especially baked goods, juices, and coffee. The bar, lobby and lounge areas were comfortable for sitting. The hotel staff were both welcoming and accommodating with all our requests including storage over two nights between stays while we made a three day trip to El Chaten. We highly recommend this hotel, which is just a ten minute walk to the bus terminal.

Los Ponchos Hotel is located just 2 km from central El Calafate. Its warm rooms feature Hispanic-American art and views of Lake Argentino.

I loved everything about my experience here. The hotel is charming, confortable and clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was delicious. I particularly appreciated the hotel surroundings (sheep, horses, a calf). I would highly recommend!
