A charming, well-designed hotel in a heritage building, a bit close to the road, but otherwise perfect for a stay in the region. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a small terrace. There is a un-heated outdoor pool, with excellent sun-loungers in a pretty garden. The best thing is that you are greeted by a herd of alpacas (?) on arrival. The restaurant is high-end, especially the carpaccio, and the breakfast is OK (eggs are available on request).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms and decor feel refreshingly authentic, moving away from today’s cookie-cutter hotels where everything is identical. The staff were wonderful and warm as well.
