Choosing where to stay in Wadi Rum felt impossible — there were over 600 places listed. I spent hours scrolling, comparing, second-guessing. But somehow, I ended up booking The Legacy of Wadi Rum… and honestly, I feel incredibly lucky I did. From the moment I arrived, everything felt thoughtful. I booked the full-day “Wadi Rum Horizons” tour, and I have to say: it was phenomenal. Our Bedouin guide wasn’t just knowledgeable — he was passionate. He didn’t wait for us to ask questions. He anticipated them. He told stories, shared legends, explained geology, plants, stars — everything. You could feel he loved the desert, and that made us love it too. Then came the lunch — a traditional Bedouin meal, prepared fresh in the heart of the desert. Delicious. Simple. Perfect. I was also genuinely surprised when they told us not to bring plastic bottles. And they meant it. The tent I stayed in had a beautiful clay jug that kept natural spring water cool. During the tour, they had a traditional goatskin water bag tied to the truck, cooling the water naturally with air. Each guest got a metal cup to use throughout the day. Small things, but… they really stayed with me. On my second day, I booked a camel ride from the camp back to the village — about two hours. It was peaceful, surreal, and the perfect end to my stay. I honestly don’t know how they managed to think of everything. Every detail was just… right. If you’re reading this and still deciding, don’t hesitate. This place is not just accommodation — it’s an experience that honors the land, the people, and the traditions.

‏I had an amazing stay at Moon Shine Camp in Wadi Rum! The full day jeep tour was fantastic, and our guide shared so much about the area’s history.
