This is actually a resort with large bungalows and a big pool. Although centrally located on the Dumbulla mainroad, the rooms are very tranquil. This is because the rooms are spread out behind the maingate and after reception/ restaurant. The breakfast is quite good, expecially the local items. I liked talking to the staff very much They were all helpfull, also for giving advise.

The staff were fantastic. Dasintha, Nilakshi, and Hashii were super helpful and friendly. They found great excursions and guides for me. The rooms are beautiful and simple. I love the white linen and the wooden windows, doors and even signs that would be plastic in other places. Its beautiful and comfortable. And as close as it gets to Sigiriya rock.

We stayed in a tree house with a fantastic view over green paddy fields to Sigiriya Lion Rock and Pidurangala in the distance. There were peacocks cavorting and dancing in the fields. Sujatha and Upali are affable hosts, and the manager Ranjit is an efficient ex-Special Forces man. The staff, including Suranga and Chintayya were friendly and helpful. Food at the onsite restaurant was great! Wish we had planned for a longer stay.
