I really enjoyed my stay at the Nirvana Retreat center! Shakur was kind, helpful, respectful and knowledgeable as he gave me a tour around the compound and helped me with my luggage to my room. Subrina at the reception desk was helpful and sweet checking me in and taking care of added needs throughout the day. Vinitha served me breakfast with the biggest smile and the sweetest conversation. I was impressed by all the staff who warmly greeted me every time I passed by them, which remind me of other cultures I've lived in where you greet those you pass by. It made me feel so nice! Every encounter was exceptional. The grounds have a lot to offer especially for families or groups like bbq facilities, pools, sports courts, arts and yoga classes. I loved the green grass real and artificial, the lake with it's paddle boat, all the beautiful trees and places you could sit and rest and enjoy the surroundings. I liked that each room had a spot to park your car next to it and even charging stations. The room was perfect with a big window looking out at the horses and mountain. The bed comfortable and room clean and perfect with tea and coffee, fruits and fridge and other amenities even a notepad and pen, and bathrobe! I had an ostrich looking thru my window and the next morning he surprised me at my front door. It was so lovely to be amongst the animals but also not be bothered by any of them. I wanted to rest alone and I came on a weekday so it would be more quiet and it was less guests so perfect for my needs. Also gps worked wonderfully to get me there so that wasn't difficult either. The next day I was only 25 minutes drive from the flamingo beach. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come again by myself or invite a small group of friends! You will not regret staying here!
