It was so much better than I expected and also close to the small town within walking distance via a pathway, about 10 minutes walk. I think we saw more wildlife in this area than other places we visited such as Fortuna which is on the recommended tourist trial. You feel like you are in your own little tropical rain forest and rooms are not overlooked . All facilities around the pool are also great.

Definitely recommend!

This place is amazing 👏 very central. The hosts have done a lovely job decorating and making the stay uncomfortable. It was the highlight of our trip. I'd give this place 15/10 if I could. Definitely stay here and you won't regret. Especially for couples.

Staff were so friendly and helpful, bungalow was so unique, clean and well kept. Obviously it was a bit noisy because it’s in the jungle, but to be expected, and such a unique experience. Food was really good, would definitely recommend.

It’s my 7th visit to Puerto Viejo, since I fell in love with this place, and this was far better than anything I rented here before. It’s just something else…I guess when the plants grow higher this will look as you were living in the jungle. But even now, when it’s new, you have that experience. The breakfast is exceptional, the staff is very friendly, the manager really knows his job. I’m not sure whether I most enjoyed the early mornings, when the jungle switches on and the howler monkeys wake you up, or the evenings, for the illumination of the resort is just another experience. I like a log…it’s beautiful, amazing and outstanding, really

Its exactly what you need in a place like Tortuguero where the fun lies in the expeditions you take. Our breakfast was delicious and always ready right when we finished the morning tours which was really thoughtful and appreciated. Moreover, as a lesbian couple, we're always a bit weary of hotel staff when we travel but it was not the case here - everyone was so friendly and we would definitely qualify this hotel as LGBT-friendly :)
