We especially enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and very quiet AC units in the bedrooms, plus the hummingbirds. The location is superb for exploring Basse-Terre. We visited the Botanical Gardens, the town of Deshaies, and Parc de la Source just up the hill (wonderful waterfall). Great local bakery (we recommend the flan and eclairs). Everything was perfect. Our last morning, we were greeted by a magnificent rainbow, making the view even more wonderful. Great communication with owner and local contact, Laurence.

We had a fantastic stay at Les Jardins de Chantilly. Prior to our arrival, the friendly host contacted us several times to make sure that everything was clear regarding the location, Furthermore, throughout our stay she was easy to contact and very helpful. The property itself was excellent and had everything we needed. It also included access to a beautiful garden, very comfortable for a cup of coffee or a breakfast. And from this location it's easy to reach all the main sights of Basse Terre and Grande Terre. All in all, we really loved this place and we would recommend it to everyone.

Denis and Françoise are fabulous hosts who made us feel at home and were available to answer any questions and offered great advice for sightseeing. The apartment was well equipped and we were able to prepare many great meals, the grocery stores and markets were all within a 7 min drive. The location is fabulous for a home base to explore almost everything on the island, is close to the beach but is a peaceful retreat fromt the hustle and bustle. The terrace was our favourite spot to hang out for our morning coffee and after dinner Ti punch. We are already planning our return!
