The area is popular for hiking and cycling, and bike hire is available at this 4-star hotel. It's not often you get to stay in a one-month old hotel, but this one is brand new (late September-early October 2022). It is hidden away on a side street in a small forgettable village, which keeps it quiet at night. It's all new and absolutely spotless, and includes a nice spa and wonderful sauna and two hot tubs on the ground floor, and access across a lawn to a 7-pool swimming and hot spring water resort (which is not new and is shared with an adjacent camp ground). Rates include dinner, and the wine list is quite reasonable and includes some wines made in the same and in the next village. Both dinner and buffet breakfast were good if not quite gourmet. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, all bilingual in Hungarian and German. (Don't know about English because I speak both Hungarian and German, never tried English).

Great breakfast. Private parking. We stayed only two nights but the next time we'll stay longer.

It provides free private parking and free WiFi in public areas.The building is part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage and is under protection of monuments. Excellent location, family ambient, very clean rooms. The hotel has few own parking spots but the parking around the hotel on the streets is posible free of charge. The staff was very friendly and hepful from the arrival to the check-out. We left the hotel feeling like we were visiting family. ❤️ The breakfast selection was very good, tasty and served to the table in the cosy ambient of the rose garden. The food choice was very diversified, with fresh vegetables and fruits and in the right amount.

18 km from Esterhazy Castle, Nationalpark Apartments is a recently renovated 4-star apartment in Apetlon, featuring rooms with free WiFi and outdoor swimming pool. With pool views, this accommodation features a terrace. The apartment has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. The flat is tastefully furnished and was very clean. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning allows to keep the temperature at a comfortable level even when it’s hot outside. The owner was very welcoming and attentive and did everything to make our stay pleasant. The location is perfect for cyclists who want to explore the national park.
