We loved how many trails began right outside Granduca including a beginner friendly one. Our apartment was very comfortable, and well equipped. We could have easily spent a week there. Staff were incredible, very friendly, and we were well looked after by Nicole and Anna. We ate well at the restaurant/bar and enjoyed the spa. What a dream!

I loved staying in a hotel with such amazing history, the building was a few centuries old but nicely preserved and fit for contemporary needs. It was absolutely beautiful for me, but it all depends on your style and preference. The location is fantastic, just a few steps from the main square, but then Cortona is so small that everything is close 🙂. Parking is available on site which is great.

Residenza d'epoca Luca Pacioli is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at in Italy. Here 4 stars means 4 stars, unlike most Italian 4 star hotels that are really 2/2.5 stars. The room was spotless and decorated in a way that beautifully integrated the history of the palazzo with the needs of modern clients, and the bed linens and towels were very high quality, an absolute rarity in Italy. The breakfast buffet was decent, not ample, with many locally sourced products, but unfortunately with a fair amount of pre-packaged products as well.
