We had some delay in reaching the accommodations, but they allowed us to have our dinner right as we entered, before checking in. They also helped us to call a taxi to the train station on our last day. My mother left an item behind, and they kindly mailed it over to my address in Tokyo after we left! Compliments to the chef, the food every breakfast and dinner were so delicious, and my family and I got to try many local delicacies in the comfort of the hotel :) My parents also enjoyed their very first experience of onsen here!

The staff is so polite, efficient and friendly. I can't think of anything negative (and I am trying)...

The hotel looks like a 5* hotel, and feels like one. The interior is so fancy, I should have booked it for longer duration, considering how easy it is to reach Kyoto from here. It is double the price of a hotel from Kyoto, but the facilities make up for it. I had the Superior Twin Room - Non-Smoking and the view was amazing and I was lucky enough to catch the fountain show at the docks, which can be viewed clearly from the balcony.

The hotel also offers massage treatments and a sauna. JR Ogoto Onsen Station offers a direct transit in 20 minutes to Kyoto Station. We had a wonderful time at Yuzanso! The hotel is a bit isolated, so for us, it was a very welcomed escape from the city noise. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly. The facilities were great - we tried the public baths and the private outdoor bath, both very relaxing. We had a huge room with an amazing view of the lake Biwa. Delicious and very filling breakfast, but the best part was the dinner - so much attention to detail, a beautiful presentation, and delicious food - It was incredible. I would definitely recommend this place for those who are looking for a tranquil and relaxing japanese experience.

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at this 4-star hotel. The resort is an older building, but spacious. Large clean and very comfortable rooms. Kind of customer oriented rather being profit oriented. There are much free selections available to all. The staff is great too. We truly enjoyed our stay.
