El Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto se encuentra a 3 minutos a pie del santuario de Itsukushima y cuenta con baños termales al aire libre. Great location, close to Miyajima toori and omotesando shopping street. One of the hiking routes that leads up to mt Misen was also not far (as well as the way to the ropeway). The hotel had a shuttle bus to and from the ferry terminal with a friendly driver - this was very valuable for us, as we did not have to carry our luggages through the crowded streets. The dinner was great with lots of local specialities that we could try out.

Comfortable bed, good shower, lovely outdoor bath. Well stocked self service bar. Simple check in at the ryokan down the hill - friendly service, a great dinner and a good breakfast. Just lovely. I would love to stay here for a week or more.

Hotel Miya Rikyu se encuentra en Miyajima, a 2,5 km de Playa de Tsutsumigaura y a 5 min a pie de Pagoda de Cinco Pisos, y ofrece wifi gratis. Hotel Miyu Rikyu is perfectly situated along the waterfront just a few steps from Miyajima Ferry. We had a sea view room and could see the Otori Gate from our window. The setting and room were very. beautiful, Sleeping on the traditional futons on tatami mats was comfortable, and the set 12 course menu was delicious (though could be challenging for picky eaters). Breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. Note that we were the only foreigners during our stay and the staff does speak English but it is a much more traditional Ryokan. On site onsen (public bath) was very nice with a small view out to the sea from the top floor.
