A lovely, modern hotel with relatively large rooms, every amenity you could want, an excellent restaurant, and a beautiful onsen and restaurant complex next door. Just across the street from the train station and a very short walk catty-corner to the ferry terminals. The staff was terrific, both in the hotel and restaurant, and did everything possible to make us feel like honored guests. An extra touch was free coffee/tea/snacks/ice cream and as much bottled water as we wanted. One of our favorite hotels on our 3-month trip.

Clean, smart, natural style apartment with all appliances included, such as washer-dryer, kitchenette, etc. There is a pleasant little garden next to the lodging. Right next to the historic district. The lady present was very kind and attentive.

Located in Kurashiki and with Shinkeien Garden reachable within 1 km, Nagi Kurashiki Hotel&Lounge provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, free bikes, free WiFi throughout the property and a... This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It was in a great location, close to the station, downtown & the historic area. It was totally sound proof, spotlessly clean & tastefully decorated. The amenities were of high quality & the snacks provided were generous & varied with a focus on local produce. Lastly, the staff were delightful & were truly committed to providing an excellent service. It was a truly memorable stay in Kurashiki.

This was a very special place to stay- I think possibly the best hosted experience I have ever had. It is a traditional ryokan and so I expected the courteous welcome and the room to be laid out with a futon while I ate, as well as a lovely ‘ofuro’ bath. However my expectations were exceeded because the staff gave a truly warm and welcoming, homely service - I really felt as if I were a guest in someone’s home. Everything was explained in detail so that I could appreciate the flowers, the history of the town, best places to visit, the local art gallery (they even have local artwork in the hotel) and of course the ‘Kaiseki Ryori’ (formal many course meal). I was quite sad to leave. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt like a ‘respected guest’ - thank you so much!

From arrival to departure, everything and everyone was exceptional. We felt so cared for and so well supported. They took our request for vegan food to heart and provided some of the most delicious food we've had in Japan. Our server, who was originally from Nepal, was excellent and very attentive.

Located in downtown Okayama, ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama offers comfortable and bright rooms with free WiFi, only 2-minute walk from JR Okayama Station West Exit. It was very close to the bus station where I needed to go.

I loved our room with a view to the sea and also the racing track. It was so cool to come back to our room in the evening and also to wake up with the view. The hotel staff was also super helpful and friendly. The public bath is also recommended, as it was a pretty nice place to rest including a sauna. Great breakfast options as well. Lots of asian and western options to choose from.
