We are not Japanese and this place is the real deal. The learning curve was a little high at first but much of the Info is in english. We loved the two big beds, We loved the hot pools, we loved walking along the river for hours and looking at the view. There was a shuttle to take back to the shinkansen in the morning. I would come again and stay longer. I loved that the room has a big closet and a hall separating the bath from the room.

Everything was perfect, the onsen is amazing, the food and all the complimentary food and drink were amazing. The hotel really exceeded my expectations.

Toyama Excel is just a 3-minute walk from JR Toyama Train Station. It offers a daily breakfast with fresh fruits. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. The staff were considerate and friendly. The hotel is right in front of the station but the price was very reasonable.

Although some of them were not good in English they made huge efforts to communicate and all was for the best including some nice expirience ;-). The dinner was impressive!!
