Mara’s tents include a wooden, 4-poster bed surrounded by a mosquito net. All have a modern, private bathroom with a double vanity, shower, and flush toilets. Tea and coffee making facilities are in each. It’s a fantastic place in an excellent location. Staff are great, the most outstanding was Sakut, our Masai guide, who helped us finding our way in the savanna and showed great experience in spotting animals.
Sekenani
With garden views, Drunken Elephant Mara is set in Sekenani and has a restaurant, a kids' club, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Free WiFi is featured.

We recently stayed at Drunken Elephant Mara and it turned out to be an absolutely wonderful choice. The property is beautifully located inside the Masai Mara National Reserve, giving you the chance to truly immerse yourself in nature—with wildlife frequently wandering close to the camp!
The staff were incredibly warm and hospitable, always present around the camp to assist—whether it was guiding us to the restaurant or reception, or helping when animals were nearby. Their constant presence made us feel both safe and well cared for.
Our tented room was spacious, luxurious, and extremely comfortable, equipped with all the modern amenities you’d expect from a high-end property, without compromising on the authentic safari experience.
The meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the team even packed us meal boxes for our game drives. Speaking of which, the game drives arranged by the team were fantastic—well-coordinated and truly memorable.
A small but heartwarming gesture was the team placing hot water bottles in our beds at night, which made the chilly Mara evenings extra cozy.
A special shoutout to Faheem, the reservations manager, who helped us plan our trip from the start—answering every question with patience and attention. Huge thanks also to Abraham and the rest of the team for their hospitality and for making our stay so memorable.
Highly recommend Drunken Elephant Mara for anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in the Masai Mara!

Love this camp. Right in the heart of Mara reserve. View of river is lovely. Not all rooms have view but lodge view is top. Hippos and crocodiles in river. Great sounds at night. Lovely location for exploring Mara. Staff was amazing. Great food and so nice. Hope I return one day

The location was perfect Bed was very comfortable property was very well maintained and clean
A great location. Exceptionally good staff - very friendly and hard working. Considering that it had been badly damaged by a flash flood less than 3 months ago they have worked hard to restore the facilities.
-location , in the middle of Masai Mara - food , very good quality and also selection of meals - staff , super friendly and also honest. My husband forgot his wallet in the restaurant and they called and delivered the wallet immediately to our room. It would be a disaster as all documents are in that wallet. We do appreciate how honest the staff there .
Location was incredible. Staff were all super friendly and the food was fantastic. We stayed for 6 nights and made use of both the game drives and balloon safari. Julius was our guide and we saw so much whilst on safari. If you’re looking an authentic safari then look no further
The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The restaurant was outdoors, which was nice as the weather was good. Staff were very friendly. We were upgraded to a tent facing the river, which was a good location and experience.
Great location, beautiful cabin, very kind staff and amazing owner, I recommend highly!
Complete filling breakfast and relaxing surrounding. Well put thought of facility with pool, hammock, kids play ground, spacious stylish self contained family tents. Loved my high quality well maintained tent. The bed linen soft comfortable and I was offered extra blanket.
The good parts: hospitable owners and good safari driver (Mr. Rolex) Not so good parts: Location is extreme, the accommodation has infestation of bugs in the washroom especially at night, food quality is not so good, Wi-Fi is not available in the room, water in washroom is yellow and brackish, electricity issues, etc. Solution: Better options are available in Narok city. Better to stay overnight in Narok and then travel to Mara in the morning. Mara safari can be easily completed in 1-day. Thanks.
