It was perfect, and we definitely recommend to everyone to stay at De Saram house.

Arcade Independence Square is 4 km away and Sinhalese Sports Club is 4.1 km from the guest house. Beautiful property in a tranquil spot by the river, wonderful service and such friendly staff. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay more! We arrived early in the day and were offered breakfast and they were also able to have our room ready early, which was fantastic! Can't recommend Aathma Colombo House enough. We had a few hours exploring Colombo and it was quick to get to the city by Tuk Tuk.

Small boutique hotel tucked away in the middle of the city, very near to the lake temple, gangaramaya temple and a mall. The room is simple yet Asian styled, very minimalist and sophisticated. The room is quiet at night which allowed me to go to bed early - around 8 am I was not disturbed. But the best part is the hotel team. The manager, the reception team, the restaurant staff - exceptionally polite, efficient, accommodating and well-spoken. They asked all the right questions to make my stay as comfortable as they could. Having learned that my train leaves at 7 am the next day and I have to be out the door after 6 am, they put together a breakfast which was ready by the time of my check-out. Loved my stay there!

Every little request is handled with great care and kindness at La Maison de Colombo. For me, it was an exceptional stay – one I can wholeheartedly recommend. The fact that the hotel isn’t right in the city centre actually turns out to be a huge plus – it’s wonderfully quiet and peaceful at night. That said, getting into Colombo and seeing the sights is easy – whether you hop on a local bus, grab a tuk-tuk, or take a taxi. All in all, an unforgettable experience – and excellent value for money! Very stylish and warm-hearted!
