Hotel River Front was a little piece of paradise for the 2 nights we stayed here (with my husband and 5 year old). The entire property is immaculately clean - from the gardens to the rooms and bathrooms - it was spotless. Room and bathroom was large, good hot water in shower, good air-conditioning, lovely balcony overlooking garden wirh river at the bottom. Pool was fabulous and great to relax around after a safari. We ate dinner at the hotel on both nights. Food was really delicious and good choice. Breakfast was included in the package and was very good (fresh pancakes, fruit, toast, eggs, sausage, etc...). On the morning of our safari they packaged a breakfast up for us which was appreciated. Hotel organised a private safari for us. Channa was our guide and was brilliant. So knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we had a great day. We saw loads of animals including leopards and the scenery was stunning. A special thanks to all the staff who made our stay so special- they all do a fabulous job and made us so very welcome. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again.

The room had the comfiest bed, nice coffee, all in the middle of nature with birds and paddy fields. Lovely pool, great breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of the employees were so friendly and attentive. It was only a short drive to Yala for safari. They packed us a nice breakfast for the early start...just remember to hide that breakfast in the jeep cab or the monkeys will take it😁stayed 2 nights, and extra one would've been great!

The Leopard tent was perfection. We loved our stay, the room is spacious and clean. The surroundings are uniques. Staff was very nice and the dinner was delicious. The safari experience was priceless!

With free WiFi, this 4-star hotel has a terrace and a bar. The property is non-smoking and is located 17 km from Tissa Wewa. Kynrock is a chain across Sri Lanka but this location had just opened about 6 weeks before our stay. It is right outside of Yala which was perfect. There were only about 8 people staying in the hotel that night and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time - they had poolside beers for us and brought in a chef to make personalized dinners for the 8 of us (since there was no buffet because it is so new and there is no one staying there). They were so happy to have us and the experience was truly special.

Unforgettable Stay at Farm Villa Resort! Amazing location with easy access to Yala National Park. The surroundings are absolutely stunning — full of natural beauty and peaceful vibes. We stayed two nights at Farm Villa Resort and had an unforgettable experience. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a large balcony and even a private pool! We loved how much space and privacy we had, and the view of the paddy fields was breathtaking. You can even take a walk through the fields — a truly unique experience. The staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. One of the best parts of our stay was the full-day safari to Yala Block 5, arranged by the resort. It started early at 5 a.m. with a private guide who helped us spot rare animals and birds. The resort took care of everything — from a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast to a memorable jungle lunch. Everything was perfectly organized for a comfortable and exciting experience. The resort is also great for bird watching and wildlife lovers — even monkeys came to visit us near the villa! The food was another highlight — both breakfast and dinner were full of authentic Sri Lankan flavor. The large swimming pool was clean and perfect for relaxing after a long day. We highly recommend Farm Villa Resort to anyone visiting Kataragama or Yala. This was one of the best stays we’ve had in Sri Lanka — and we will definitely be back!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. It's clear the new management has poured love and effort into this place, and it shows everywhere you look. The upgrades are fantastic: a beautiful new swimming pool, a gorgeous new restaurant area, and lovely updates to the rooms and backyard. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the service was excellent and so attentive. A special thanks to the manager, Anu, who went above and beyond to check on us and attend to all our needs, making us feel incredibly valued. With all the amazing improvements and the incredibly warm service, it truly felt like a second home. We will definitely be coming back again. This place has tuned into a real hidden gem!

This 4-star hotel offers a shared kitchen and room service. The hotel has an indoor pool and a 24-hour front desk. Cleanest property we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. The location isn’t great when it comes to going out for lunch or dinner but they hosts do offer bike rentals. As the journey to the town can be a 20 minute walk. No insects in the room for the first. Bathroom was good enough standard. For the 3 nights we stayed this was an excellent choice. The hosts helped us book with the national park for a great price. Also had some fun doing fishing in a freshwater lake. I do recommend this hotel, as the hosts are the most hospitable since being on our trip in Sri Lanka they went above and beyond to help us. Very kind and thoughtful. We appreciate the work they do.

One of the highlights was how accommodating they were when I had an early morning safari at Yala National Park. The staff went above and beyond to prepare a delicious to-go breakfast for me, complete with fresh fruit, snacks, and drinks. It was the perfect way to start a long and exciting day. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed during my stay. The hotel’s location was also ideal—close enough to Yala National Park to make early mornings manageable, yet quiet and peaceful. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and I’d highly recommend Serenity Tissa to anyone visiting the area, especially if you’re planning a safari!

Kele Yala is located just 15 minutes and 7 km away from the Katagamuwa Entrance of Yala National Park, where there is less traffic compared to the main entrance of the National Park. The property was clean and the food was tasty. The stuff was nice. We enjoyed our stay.
