The units at the hotel come with a private bathroom and bed linen. We are very satisfied with our stay at Murchison. We went there in May during the autumn season so it was not very crowded. We pleasantly got upgraded from a Superior Deluxe Double to a way more spacious Family Room! We were super happy with the upgrade as we were travelling with a toddler. Having a separate room to let him sleep while still being able to do our own things outside the room is very convenient. The owners were also very friendly and kind. They gave us a bottle of milk upon arrival and gave us tips of activities around the area. Murchison actually surprised us with lots of nice walking/hiking options. The city itself was also very peaceful and pretty.

Each accommodation at the 4-star motel has mountain views and free WiFi. All rooms have a patio with garden views. Due to the (previous day's windy) weather the ferry from the North Island was delayed by around 4 hours leaving Wellington and arriving in Picton and in addition we were detoured due to a traffic incident enroute and arrived therefore late - after 8pm. Good and forthcoming communication of the circumstances with the landlady, Rose, on alternative ways to pick up the keys to our two chalets upon arrival. Rose ended up welcoming us in person after all. In addition to two charming four legged companions including the 18 year old cat. The two chalets (split between parents and son and daughter) were modern, well presented and provided what we needed. Nice sitting space on the front porch. Parking next to the chalet. Close to the starting point of the path into Abel Tasman NP. Rose was very helpful trying to organize water taxi however the weather next morning was too bad for the water taxi provider to offer any scenic tours. Still, we much appreciated her advise on places to eat and hikes to do in the morning given the weather forecast warning of more rain to come in the afternoon.

Positioned on the main street, the Queen Street Studios is a 4-minute walk to Richmond Mall where guests can find a variety of shops and restaurants. The Abel Tasman National Park and the town of Motueka are within a 50-minute drive from the property. Room is clean and tidy. Reception staff is very friendly.

Offering free WiFi and free on-site bus and car parking, Mohua Motels is located in Takaka. All accommodation offers a patio, fully equipped kitchenette and mountain and garden views.

Ideally situated for exploring Abel Tasman National Park, Mohua Motels is 300 metres from Takaka's Town Centre. It is located opposite a supermarket and next door the Golden Bay Visitor Centre. The motel manager accommodated well for our late arrival and organized breakfasts for us for our early departure the following morning. The communication was quick and helpful. The motel rooms are spotless, clean, and well taken care of. Our stay was a pleasant surprise.

Just a 10-minute walk from Kaiteriteri Beach, Kimi Ora Eco Resort offers rooms with a balcony and sea views. Guests enjoy free WiFi, free breakfast and a range of facilities including a spa and wellness centre. LOVED everything about Kimi Ora and would happily stay there again. Our room had the most amazing view, the restaurant was excellent and the massage treatment was wonderful.

Very well appointed room in lovely location and our restaurant meal was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with activities in the area.

The bed and breakfast features garden views and a picnic area. I cant really choose the words, this place was the best ive been period. The hospitality, hygiene, staff (Phillip & ben), the breakfast. Just everything was amazing! Can’t recommend this place enough.

Offering modern accommodation and situated less than a 20-minute walk from Richmond Mall and nearby vineyards, Parkside Motel also offers a courtyard and a seasonal heated swimming pool. The Nelson City Centre is a 15-minute drive away, and free parking is provided on site. The room was very clean and comfortable. Although we were on a busy road, we didn’t hear traffic noise. The pool looked inviting though we didn’t have time to enjoy it. The motel backed up to a soccer field and the great taste trail which gave us a lovely morning walk. The manager provided us with fresh milk for our coffee in the morning.
