The apartment is situated close to downtown Cluj, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I was so happy to have found it! If you ever want to explore that side of Romania, this is the place to stay. We've had a family holiday and spent the last 3 days in Cluj. Couldn't have asked for more. Clean, bright, luxurious, with everything one would need for a perfect holiday. Whenever we go back, it'll be the first choice! Thank you!!

Nicolas in Câmpia Turzii heeft een 4-sterrenaccommodatie met een restaurant en een bar. This place was surprisingly nice for being off the beaten path like it is. We spent two wonderful weeks in Romania. The stop at Hotel Nicolas was on our way from Bucovina toward the Sibiu area. I was looking on Booking.com for a good place to stay and this one popped up. It is about 30 minutes from Turda and the salt mines so it may attract visitors from there. We felt very lucky to find such a nice place in what seemed to be off the beaten track. We got lucky. I don't think they have many American visitors either. Maybe all visitors are treated like we were, but they made us feel very special. We did eat supper there. I had chocolate pancakes and my husband had a burger. It was delicious. Nicolas, himself, came to visit and brought along some delicious treats too. And I know he was disappointed to find out we don't drink alcohol because he wanted to treat us to some of his father's homemade brew. Breakfast was also included. I believe my husband had an English breakfast. I saw oatmeal on the menu and decided to go with that. I didn't think it would probably be enough for me. I love breakfast, but this was unique and delicious. It was served in a large goblet. I'm not sure it had any milk in it, but maybe honey and walnuts and not soggy at all. I wish I knew the recipe and had taken a picture of it. It was an excellent and interesting stop on our trip and I'm very glad we found it. There was also fruit, water, coffee and tea available in the room. Sorry the picture of the room was taken after we had already made ourselves comfortable. It was also VERY reasonably priced!!
